Waterslide decal help!!
i got a 2013 denim black street bob. I removed the tank badges and ordered some waterslide decals i just been reading around and saw something about a clear flat coat.do i need this? And if so can it be applied over existing coat and not look different? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks...

The factory decals are applied after the tank is painted, and then they apply a coat of clear over the entire tank. If you want your decals to last, you'll need to have clear coat applied. You'll probably need to remove the tank and take it to a painter/body shop. They'll rough up the existing clear coat, apply the decals, and then clear coat the entire tank.

Just so you know... I had my rear fender painted (denim silver) there is a clear coat over the denim paint. There are few body shops (at least in my area) that do this affordably. I ended us sending mine to a dude in Albany, NY that did an outstanding job for a very reasonable price. I can get the info if you're interested just PM me. He was recommended from a member on here.
