Well, I guess I'll give it a shot. If it were me, I'd get the manual from the dealer and follow the instructions in regards to removing the rear wheel. I can't imagine it's that hard to do it.

Welcome to the forum. It's not a difficult project...but there are some technical steps with the wheel and beltalignment and torque values on the fasteners. I don't have a scanner for my computer or I would post the pages here. I do recommend you make sure you get a torque wrench and some blue loctite threadlocker. You can also find a service manual on ebay or on line at Zanotti's HD or Chicago(google it). You may also want to get the Harley belt tensioning tool. There is a real good rear wheel alignment thread here in the DIY tech threads where you can make your own rear wheel alignment tool. (pictures are there). You can definitely do it yourself but you need to pay attention to the details. However, I would not attempt it wothout the manual. I hope this helps. KB

Your local HD Dealer should have a manual for about 75 bucks. Or you could get one online alittle cheaper and pay a small shipping fee. I dont know how much you would save though. maybe 10-15 bucks.
