Not trying to say all that. I have a quick mount windshield on my bike right now for the 30 degree morning ride to work. All I'm saying is that if you're going so far as to strategically place wind deflectors all over your bike to prevent wind from hitting your head you might not be cut out for riding. Just saying. You be more suited for something like a sporty Mazda Miata.
Anybody who chooses to ride through intersections on 2 wheels is cut out for riding. The rest is a picnic.
If you want to check out a really simple idea that will cut down a lot of those updrafts, check out the Desert Dawgs. They slip on over your engine guard bar. They're removable so when you don't want them on, just roll them up and store in your saddlebag or wherever. Added bonus, if you get caught in the rain your legs and feet will stay dry! http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/
This is a response that I got from one of the forum members about buffeting. Though my search to eliminate buffeting is from the air that flows over the top of the windshield that is rattling my head.....but I believe it is what you are looking for....
For 29.95, you can buy the touring fork baffle and modify it for your dyna. There is a member here that did that and it made a big difference for him...I would try that first....

You sir do not understand the problem. Your intellect may best be suited for middle school. I too have a HD quick detach windshield and like many others have found it to be unusable. I am blinded by the buffeting at speeds above 30 mph and that is wearing a full face helmet with visor down. Remove the windshield and I'm good to 100+.
Either try to help or shut up. Leave the crap for face to face meets and see how it goes
I have experienced the obnoxious buffeting to the head when my windshield is attached so I know what you are talking about. My solution was to install a set of memphis shades lowers that attach to the fork tubes just below the triple tree. They are not terribly expensive and probably cut the buffeting I was experiencing by at least 50% making the high-speed trips much more bearable. You can seem them in the attached picture.
Yeah, I'm one of those candyasses like the guys who prefer windshields or face shields in the winter. I know that real men doesn't use anything to reduce the effects of the elements when they're riding their bikes and that it proves they are the equals of professional fighters, test pilots, and Seal Team 6. But I'm slowly building up to it by not wearing sunglasses when I ride, which a real man like you must have stopped doing a long time ago, right?
That is one of the funniest comebacks I have ever read on this forum. You should seriously think about going into comedy writing.
Hey Dobra,
I take it you don't use any kind of windshield? You probably don't like the look of it on your bike? Check out windvest.com....they are a small windshield that put out a lot less buffetting then some of the larger ones and I think they blend right into the bike. They are kinda pricey but worth every penny.
