Default spring seat vs foam - sissy ?
cannot make up my mind, spring seat or a mustang vintage i think spring mite sit me up higher on a sb anyone ryde with the new one piece detach sissy from harley?

I have the spring seat and it might be a little higher but not much

I to have a HD spring seat,,Dose sit a little higher,,Very comfortable ,,Takes out a lot of the shock from the lowered suspension,,I recovered the bib with 1/4" foam and matched the leather from the inlay on the seat,,,

I have that seat too, and love it. I have the detachable sissy bar, but I am not sure if it is the one you are referring to - can you post a link?

Can you tell me what brand/model seat that is? I have the same one in brown. I just don't know what it is!! (Came w/ bike)

HD=Harley Davidson Dyna solo spring seat,,Your part # for brown is 54072-10

The spring seats are surprisingly comfortable. I have one from Mother Road Customs. I opted for the 1" gel foam on a 13" x 15" seat. The HD seats are nice, but I found it a bit narrow and it dug into my thighs a bit (not bad, but the bigger seat from MRC made a difference. The MRC seat allows for several custom covering options.

It does sit a couple inches higher. I have my stock seat on for now but can change it in 5 minutes.

I have the HD spring seat and the detachable sissy bar. The seat put me a bit higher, but I got used to it.
