Yep in Pensacola, about 5 min from Lillian, AL. If you are ever headed east towards this way, shoot me a message, it would be awesome to try out the quarter fairing!
I'm headed that way this week. I need a part they have in stock at the dealer in Mobile...I always go to Bass Pro Shops when I head that way too...We also don't have Yeungling beer here...I have a need...

Cool, hopefully the timing works out. I am tethered to the base Thursday and Friday 24/7, but other than that I should be pretty flexible, just let me know.
I used to have a Softail Std that was horrible with air coming over the tank. At 70 it would lift the helmet right off my head. Changed to a Street Bob and it was not as bad but then I did a small tank lift and that help a lot. My next move will either be a foil across the bottom of the forks or a tool bag. I worry about scuffing with the tool bag though. The lower tree on my bike is polished aluminum and I am afraid the bag will scuff the tree.
Got my tool bag on so time for an update.... So first thing first, I NEEDED a tool bag and I am happy with the one I got. I think it looks better with the windshield on than without, but I only plan on keeping it on for my trip anyways, after I get to where I am going the windshield and tool bag will come back off.
As far as the toolbag helping with the wind buffeting, sad to say it doesnt help. Just as much wind coming from underneath as before. However, I met up with "themouth" today in Mobile and we discussed a few things and in addition he let me take a test ride with his rifle fairing.
The rifle fairing was pretty impressive, even though the windscreen was a lot shorter than mine and I had the wind in my face a lot more (which I dont mind) there was zero buffeting.
I dont really want to spend a great deal more money on trying to solve the buffeting issue as well as I really like having the quick detach windshield because more often than not I ride without it.
So the next couple of options I need to decide on is wind deflectors for the forks or a taller windshield. I am kind of leaning towards my original suspicion that I just need a taller windshield. Today on the highway with my windshield and toolbag I was wearing my half helmet and I had little to no buffeting. However, when I wear my full face it is a different story. My head gets nothing but rattle when I get up to about 65mph+. I believe its because my full face has a thicker shell which catches the airflow over the top of the windshield when compared to my half helmet.
More than likely I think I will go with getting an aftermarket windshield that will fit the HD braces. If/when that happens, I will be sure to post results.
Thanks again to "themouth" for letting me test ride his bike with the rifle fairing!

Nice to meet up with you Chief! Hopefully, you get your situation figured out. I still think that your best bet is the Rifle but, I am a little biased...Good luck!
