someone posted handlebar bag used as wind deflector, repost info plz

someone posted that they used a handlebar tool bag or luggage bag as a wind deflector instead of a windshield back in sep/oct09 maybe? Could you repost that info here. I wish I had of 'tagged' that post and can't find it now - yes even with search. thanks in advance.

I have mine up there, but I never really noticed it deflecting much wind.

big handlebar bag

it was a much larger bag the guy showed and might have even gave a link to it. this was back wind buffeting was being discussed and some opted to get rid of their windsheilds and this guy found the bag cut down on some chest wind.

Kury Custom Roll Bag. I don't have a pic but I have the bag. And it does take a lot wind off my chest for long rides.

Another option. I picked up this one in leather on a closeout a month or so ago but it seems they're sold out of those. Paid the same they want now for the nylon.

Does it redirect some wind? Yes. Is it the same as a shield? Not even close. But my shield can't hold a spare pair of jeans, some shirts, and sneaks.
