I would use it if it worked. I probably screwed something up when I installed my apes, it will screw in but doesnt do anything to the throttle.

works fine to give your right hand a rest on a long cruise. I did put one of those inexpensive clamp on levers on mine to make it user friendly. The price has increased,I only paid 12 bucks for mine
Great idea but of course the price has doubled

I use mine to warm up the bike (carb'd) and use it on the road as well. I use to keep it just snug enough that I could let go of the throttle and it would stay but it wore down pretty fast. Not a big deal to replace it though. I still use it to give my hand a rest on long rides.

I have this one: http://cruise-mate.com/Products_Harley.htm

For me, it really helps to be able to take my right hand off the bars from time to time on a long ride.

Damn. U da man. How many hours can you hold that throttle open without a break?

Me, I use a throttle mate/throttle buddy product.
On long runs I use it quite a bit.

Thumbs up

2001 FXDL w/Keihin CV40 carb. I use it every time I start my bike when it's cold. I never use the choke unless it's about 40F and then I'll leave the choke on for about 10 seconds and then use the throttle lock to warm it up.

Every time I use it, it seems like the throttle sticks unless I turn it a full turn or so out from where it locks the throttle. So I don't see how the lever would work to either hold it or to release it enough as to not be "sticky". I have been thinking about getting the Brake Away model...it's just really pricey.
