Hard start
I have done that and it worked for awhile but now it is getting worse and another person told me to bump it three times and it worked for a bit but now it is every time no mater what trick i try.
Trying to read between the lines here. On an FI bike, the worst thing you can do is bump the starter on and off. Each hit adds more fuel to the fire plus it shortens starter solenoid life in your case to 1/3. On a V-twin, hit the starter and hold it in till it's running. Of course within reason but actually longer by fraction of a second then say a V6 or 8 car that is for sure. It takes that on a long stroke V twin to keep the cranks spinning so both cylinders are firing. The ball (actually roller pin) clutch in the starter drive will take it. It's not a clutch, it's a ramp drive that as soon as the engine is spinning faster then starter it snatches the gear forward of the drive from the electric motor. If it did not do that, it would blow the armature up in the starter. You can't hurt it.
