I have done a couple for my friend, Dupli-color is pretty good. The prep job is very important, etching primer is also required. I would also put clear coat when you are done, even you hit a few rocks on the road, it won't chip the black. Just my $0.02

I'm planning on plasti dipping the legs on my wg until I pull the front end apart to powder coat them and the tree's. My rk had all of the front end powdered except for the fork covers, the back side of the passing lamps, and the blinkers so I may try and epoxy them. I'm going to epoxy the lowers on my 82 xj550 before I do the road king just to put them side by side and see how close of a mathc the epox is to the powder.
I don't have any real experience with either, but I would say epoxy will hold up better and longer and plasti dip would just be easy to pull off and recoat. Touching up epoxy may be a little harder.
