i am modifying my HF jack now, the HF doesnt go under the low rider as it sits but the mod talked about above will do the trick. no problems with the jack itself, had mine up on it for about 5 weeks last year while i did a bunch of stuff, easy to move around the shop with the bike on it
Chiledog: Please search this forum for Sears lift modification.
No need to bite your tongue. I have done the mod. To get the jack underneath I need to use the boards OR carefully balance the bike straight vertically off of the side stand. Just barely fits then.

My apologies then. Is your suspension bone stock? Never heard of what you are describing with the modded lift.
Got the craftsman red jack this winter on sale for $89.99. Did the mod. For the money it's a pretty decent jack.
Honestly it doesn't go down as far as I'd like. I was just barely able to get it under my stock height street bob. Once I lowered it an inch I had to use boards to get the jack out from under it.
Still it was between this and the J&S. I just couldn't justify the J&S at this point and the craftsman jack has worked well for all the more money I have into it.
I did see all the negative reviews on the website. While I'm sure some of these jacks have failed, my opinion is you always have to take negative reviews online with a grain of salt. People are much more likely to review a product they are pissed off at then one that just works and is forgotten about.

Too the best of my knowledge the bike has never been lowered. It is a Low Rider. Shocks are 12 inches when sitting at rest. When fork caps are off the springs extend about 3 inches above the tube which I assume is stock.
OK, here is the code: 95511887 I just ordered it online. $6.99 shipping!
Order online to pick up at the store if you are going by it, if not have it shipped for that price. I have the yellow HF jack and use it a lot to chane fluids, detail the bike etc. I have not modded my jack in any way. I looked at the craftsman jack and the HF jack and both are essentialy the same. I like the HF locking feature better than I do the Craftsman jack. 6 of 1 it boils down to price.
I got my coupon out of American Iron Magazine. I also purchased the chock for $27.. Its great when trailering the bike.
Thanks for the reply back everyone. so i guess i'll wait until the H.F. goes on sale. i tried to go to there website to use that code. my it only shows in store only. reviews this day in age. is half of them our idiots that don't know what there are doing. or they may be posting about another one. etc. do it's kinda hard to really go with all the bad negatives. i always say. you have to be 10% smarter then what you are operating. if your not then you don't need it.
