I bought the Craftsman jack a few years back and brought it home. Had the same issues, couldn't get it under my Fatboy without building ramps. Took it back. I don't deal with Sears any longer, due to a past warranty issue on their tools, as in, they don't warranty all their tools, even tools they had in the past. I now just use a wide scissor lift jack made for bikes to lift the front end or back up, as needed. I am considering a Harbor Freight one though. Hell, Sears is no better quality the HF one. They're both made in China!
J&S and PitBull lifts are designed and Made in America.
Any other lift, no matter what name is on it, is a rip-off of these two manufacturers and made 'overseas' somewhere.
Something to consider too is: the J&S lift comes with a Lifetime Warranty....no matter whether you are the first owner or the latest owner. IOW: You can always find a buyer for a J&S lift.
PitBull is also a Lifetime Warranty lift....to the original owner.
Neither company warrants the bottle-jack for more than 2yrs tho.
My J&S slips right under my Low Rider, no sweat.
I'd never trust my Harley on one of those cheap rip-off lifts. It's way too heavy for me to 'catch'. It would likely get hurt and hurt me too.
J&S and PitBull lifts are designed and Made in America. sounds great and all. but i can't afford that kind of price. If i could get one under $200. i would then consider buying it. hey thanks for the code. yes that worked. so i bought the HF one. hope its all good. is there any mods i have to do to it in order for it to fit under my 06 low rider?
Got my lift delivered today via FeEx. Nice gloss gunmetal grey base with black finish mechanism. Very well constructed I would say. Robotic welds are solid and smooth. Bottle jack is of generic variety, but good. Much better than the lifts I've seen in my local Pep Boys or Auto Zone. Gonna go get the longer bolts for the mod. Overall, an amazing value for under $70 delivered to my door.

While I will agree that the J&S and Pitbull are both WAY better jacks, the cheaper ones are not "rip-offs" of them. Sears and HF have both been selling jacks a lot of years. Maybe longer than the other two. Some folks can't afford to pay for the big names ones. The Sears and HF jacks will work fine if you tie your bike down while working on it. I wouldn't store mine on one but that's another thing entirely...
OK, how did you guys order the HF model? Their website indicates it is a store only item and there is no link that I can find to order it online to use the discount code. And, the price is $89.99. Sales tax will push it over $90. Still a pretty decent price, but definitely not below $70 delivered at my door.
HF is not too far down the road from me...I may just have to drive my pickup down there and pick one up this weekend...

I did. All of it. How about directing me to the one I missed instead of just being a jerk?
I didn't read the thread...How much can you really say about a jack Look in the back of an Easyrider or other motorcycle mag. There is usually a coupon for the jack. There is one for the lift in there now too for 299.00...
