ok so this winter i put on samson street sweeper exhaust and some 14 inch wild one outlaw apes. now it comes time to get the bike tuned or buy a fuel programmer. i am leaning towards the fuel programmer becuase its cheaper and my bike isnt set up as a high performance ride etc etc. and i dunno if i will keep it much longer after this season.. thinkin of different rides already haha. anyways... my question to you experienced folk is.. Which programmer should i get. right now on decel its popping and what not. otherwise i didnt notice any power gain or loss with the swap of the pipes. it had screamin eagle slip ons before.
local dealer wants 6 hours of dyno time plus the cost of a programmer... so like 1200 bucks basically. other shops are a little cheaper but not much.
suggest away and maybe give a bit of feedback as to why you went the route you did.
thanks for your help.
EDIT *** the bike is a 2006 dyna low rider. and it has the stock baffles in it. (i knew i forgot something)

If you want cheap go with Xied's, they are simple cheap and work. If you want control I'd recomend a Power Vision, no real need to dyno and if you sell your bike you can buy a second license for your new ride and use it on that too.
Edit: Just saw you had a 06 so the Xied's won't work.

FuelMoto has a power commander made for them and they will program it for you. About $250 for a PC III. Great service from these guys. The Power Vision is quite a bit more expensive, but will make a dyno run relatively unnecessary. I also ran a Dobeck TFI/DFO which is very simple and inexpensive.
Call Fuel Moto for a tuner. They are great people to deal with.
What he said.
I called ans they recommended their micro tuner since I only had plans for stage 1 mods. I couldnr be happier with my bike, and I didn't break the bank. Btw, u never said if u changed the ac out. If not, fuel moto usually gives u a bit of a price break if u get tuner and ac from them.
had a 2007 SG...bought a "retro" PCV from fuel motto....never did get it right. Always wanted to die @ idle. Fuel motto did try, I will give them that. Now have a 2012 SG...dont know which way to go.
