Emission Testing in AZ

It's been reported that mandatory emission testing of motorcycles in Phoenix & Tucson areas would end by the first quarter of 2013. I got my renewal notice and still had to do the the test. Got passed ok, but what a pain in the rear. Riding down, waiting and waiting. Cars 1999 and newer just went through. My Harley is 2007. All motorcycles have to go through some smog test. Got behind a dump truck which is also the bike lane. Guess it's a source of revenue that will never end. Just bitchin.

The end to motorcycle testing was approved in February but will continue until 60 days after the legislation is signed into law... Should be done by around May timeframe.

They ended testing in Tucson 4-5 yrs ago.

We've been waiting for EPA approval for years, finally got it but has not been finalized yet - hopefully soon.

I register all my bikes and cars to my sisters house in Prescott AZ,,No emissions there,,And I use my house in Fountain Hills as the billing address ,,,,There are ways around it,,,,,
