I run V&H short shots w K&N ac on my '12 bob... I use the fuel pack and love it. It took 10 mins to install and I actually have LESS decal pop than when it was stock. It's cheap(er) and V&H techs were very helpful answering all my questions.
I am running the arlen ness big sucka stage 1 air filter, v&h slip on mufflers (with baffle length cut in 1/2) I am running this on a 2013 103 engine.
The fuelpak is easy to install & the customer service is top notch, and the cost is hard to beat if you dont plan to do anything other than air/exhaust. Yes you can spend more and if your inclined to do so then go for it, you dont need to though.
Some people have encountered issues and honestly theres nothing out there including water that you cant find where someone has issues with it.
i have heard of that some people who have encountered issues still after the fact with the fuelpak have added on xeid's from dk. They seem to work really work together, and my brother recently put the xeid's on his sportster which already had the fuelpac and it increased his mpg slightly. I guess the xeid must of corrected baseline air/fuel mixture i dunno, at any rate the cost of the 2 together is still pretty lo compared to dealer remapping.
