well I'm interested to hear how you like the 2 upper, I get too much buffeting with my HD shield. I amde some bracket extensions to put more of an angle on the shiled so I'll try that before dishing out anymore $$ on a 2 up. Those babies ain't cheap....

Bassman,

Not to hi-jack the thread, but I was wondering what type of bags you are running there on your Bob and how you attached them. Looks like whatI am looking for and your email is hidden. Thanks in advance.

Mike,
I attended a bike show at the I-X Center, just south of Cleveland, OH in the winter of 2006. While there, I ran across a National Cycle Factory Rep and inquired about their windshields. This gentleman fully explained the variations within their line and I decided, based on his info to me, on the "Quantum Coated Lexan Polycarbonate Windshield" - 2 Up Model with the Switchblade Quick Release Locking device and hardware. Yes, it is an expensive unit but the POS windshield I bought from the HD Dealer wasn't cheap either and didn't work for crap. After riding one summer and putting on 11,000 miles (last summer) I am very impressed by their product. As already stated, I am 6' 6" and the 2-up model puts the wind over my head.

Theyhave 4 different windshield materials. Starting from the top of their line to the bottom, they are:
Quantum Coated Lexan Polycarbonate
FMR Hardcoated Lexan Polycarbonate
High Impact Acrylic
Acrylic

For more info try their web site: www.nationalcycle.com

Hope this info helps.
