In the market to upgrade my exhaust will be making a purchase soon. I have been doing a lot of thinking and narrowed it down the either the vance and hines 2 into 1 competition series exhaust or the bassani road rage II. Was wondering if anyone had any input on these two exhaust systems. Been looking for something that looks good but still unique and functional, hate following the crowd so it eliminates most of the vance and hines line of pipes. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks! Oh and im riding a 2010 FXD, stage one, VO2 air cleaner and vance and hines fuelpak on otherwise stock 96", stock for now anyways...
V&H Comp are awesome looking, and I have read that they are very loud and I think you will have to wrap them because they don't come with heat shields - not positive though. Bassani RR are great looking too and perform/sound great too. I am biased though - running the 1D5250s. Mine are especially nice if you like to do hard cornering and don't want to scrap. There are several versions of the RRs, so be careful when ordering, some are better for stock and some better for "built" moters.
yeah ive noticed there are multiple road rage set ups, "mega power" seems to be middle of the road from what i can tell, and i do plan on do some motor work down the road. if i were to get the V&H comp pipe i would get it finished in black, not the stainless version...

So...your blacked out Dyna is "unique" & you don't want any of the V&H pipes 'cause you think that will make you look like you're "following the crowd"??
Its not blacked out, there is some contrast on my bike, like the way the grey motor looks on fxd. some of the covers are black but has good contrast, and there is some chrome on my bike...
The comp series pipe is way cool, but very loud. I would have one if I knew about the O2 bung adapters for later model bikes. It's a great looking pipe. When I say loud though, I mean loud.
if your looking to do motor work in the future and dont want to follow the "crowd", get a supertrapp 2-1. best pipe for builds because of how easy it is to tune and not many people run them.
Thanks for the feedback, ill be doing some research into the supermeg.... How would one know how many discs... and is it a loud pipe? louder the better
