Speaking of blacking out the Dyna, does anyone have the part number for the ignition switch found on the V-Rods! They are the only black turn switch I have found and I would like to use it (if possible) when I get around to relocating my ignition switch to my dash panel.
I prefer it because the wrinkle and flat black are easier to take care of than chrome. I hate spending an extra hour after washing my bike to polish all the shiny stuff. Different strokes for different folks I guess
I remember a time when the black parts were cheaper. Aka the late 90's. I remember hunting down a powder coater after I talked my homie to powder coat his FXR trees and lower legs, here in west Kentucky then was tough. I like blacked out, but not everything. My fxdx is blacked out, but not the header. They should always be chrome and all the bolts are very visible. There should be good mixture black and chrome. The only reason it needs to blacked out completely is if you never gonna wash it.

Interesting... I would like to have a black one on my 2013 SB
I think a lot of it depends on the bike too. Ive seen some BADASS looking blacked out Street Bobs like Robbie13's bike. But then Ive seen some blacked out Street Glides that just looked TOO black. Maybe its just the size of the bike. I dunno. My Fat Bob is kinda of a middle sized Dyna and Im leaning more towards a mix of black and chrome. Been thinking about swapping my black VH Big Shots for a chrome Basani RR just to add a little more contast after putting on black wheels.

I'd like to know that one too. The only chrome on my dash is the ignition switch and I've tried some black 3M auto vinyl on it, but it doesn't stick with the sharp bends.
I found a small pic on google, but that's about it.
EDIT: I think I found it, 70020-05. Is this it?

The switch looks just like a regular barrel type console switch with 3 connections, as long as the mounting pattern is the same, it should fit I guess! I like it, might get one for myself. The only problem is the missing cover, side mount is ok. Water might get in there if you mount it on the top.
