I was almost able to join the 100 club. I got My bike back today from the dealer today after having it dyno'ed from the 103" stage 2 build I did. 88hp and 104tq damn so close, dealer told Me it would cost a lot of money to get that last 12hp, but it would not be much fun to ride afterwords because I would have to turn 6500rpm's to get it. i don't go over 35-4000 rpm's much so it seems kinda of a waste to Me.
Cool. 104 ft/lbs of torque is really nice for the rev range you ride in.
I've not dyno'd mine, but I suspect similar numbers for my stage 2 103. Yeah, I'd like more, but like you said, it starts costing a lot more from this point on.
Just the SE 255's that the kit cam with. I'm sure if I went with a 2-1 pipe it would get Me there, but I don't like the looks of them to Me it makes the bike look like a jap bike.
A stage II 103" from the dealer was probably expensive, too bad you couldn't hit 100 HP. It's always a compromise between looks and horsepower, I usually choose horsepower but just adding a different exhaust might not get you there either.
Not to throw stones at the SE255 cams, I run them too, but this is why the Tq numbers look great and the HP numbers are less than expected.
The SE255 is a torque cam that produces Tq early and hard. It doesn't produce near as much HP in the high rev areas. You can see below. The 255 is the blue line.
255 best in the SE class for torque in the early part of the curve.
The trade is worst in the SE class for high end HP.
I'm good with it beause I ride in the torque curve and don't do a lot of high revving. If you're looking for HP numbers, look at a different cam (and be prepared to give up a bit of torque at the bottom.)
