Default 2010 Left me Stranded

I noticed earlier in the day that when I pressed the start button there was a couple of second delay when it would start. Didn't think to much about it.
My wife and I decided to go for a ride. About 10 miles into it we were on a rough road...hit a small bump and the bike stalls out. Started back up...drove a mile and stalls again, except this time it won't start back up. Tried it a few times and the battery went dead.
Anyways got it towed home. My assumption is to look in the direction that maybe its time for a new battery maybe?

Any thoughts if I should look into something else?
thanks

Rough road makes me think you have a loose battery connection. It seems fairly common.

thanks for the replies.
I thought battery connections as well. They were pretty tight and clean. I removed the battery and I'm gonna drop it off at the local HD dealer and have them test it.

If the battery checks out OK (or you get a new one) when you put in back in the bike check the ground connection. You may have done that, but it wasn't clear in your post.
