Default Just curious which style you prefer

1. Just wondering how you guys prefer to downshift. clutch in then give gas and release the clutch as you need to in order for it to be smooth and painless.

2. Or the more sport bike kinda way, clutch in, blip the throttle, then dump the clutch all in one motion.

I prefer the first method how bout you guys. It seems alot more engine friendly.

If I'm slowing down, then I'm not using gas...

Feather the clutch to get smooth engagement without jerking the bike or locking the tire.

#1. I'm not on a road course. With the torque a Harley has it is always better to clutch in and then feather out. If I am on a road filled with switch-backs, then I clutch in, downshift, brake late, and grab a handful of throttle on the way out. Of course, staying in 3rd and 4th provides plenty of engine brake and rollon in the curves. IMHO
