Default Recent Dyna purchases

Hello all...noob here. I've been cruising the various forums and searching a bit but haven't really found a lot of what I am looking for so thought I'd ask here...

I don't have a bike yet but the low rider is really talking to me (I like that look)....I'm used to easily finding info on car pricing from places like edmunds or other sites so I know dealer cost, options, etc. before I go to dealer to haggle. Is there any info like that on Harleys? If not, what kind of deals have people gotten? I am just trying to put together a negotiation strategy but not sure I can compare cars to bike.....I did see where one person paid msrp butgot some accessories and a 1000 mile service thrown in...I'm in Central Ohio...thanks in advance and this is a great forum...I've learned a lot just by reading.

Dont look for much right now, Bikes are limited. I bought my son a new bike friday and I've bought several bikes there, and I payed MSRP, they threw in some Odd's and Ends. Good Luck

Oh and Welcome

Welcome! You can't go wrong with a Dyna, imho. I also don't think you can compare an auto purchase with a Harley purchase. From my experience...and those of friends...there doesn't seem to be much leeway price wise from the MSRP...some dealers were, for a while, selling at above MSRP and if you didn't buy it, someone else would. That being said, there is sort of a glut of bikes right now, production has been up,and if you would get a better deal, now should be the time. You may also check into any leftover 06's...those you would probably get at a much better price. Good luck and let us know what ya get!

Strange...here in Toledo, the dealers have more bikes stuffed into the showroom than ever...new and used!

Your Lucky,Myaera is getting a little thin,, Lots of high end bikes 22,000.00and upon the floor, My local dealer has at least four diffrent S.E.'s and three or four Custom paint series out on the floor and a few of everything else, But not much in the warehouse for build.

Welcome from the frozen tundra of SW Iowa!

Yep, hard to negotiate w/ a HD dealer, BUT, they do haggle on accessories, labor and the like. You should also end up w/ a lifetime discount (10-15%) on P&As from the dealer where you make your purchase.I have a SB but really like the LR. As you can see from my sig, mine is a mixture of the 2.

I think alot of it had to do with the late winter. We had 70's in January, Last year we had snow in November, This year the bike sales stayed strong threw Mid January. I'm sure each aera is diffrent though. Iwent up to the warehouse to look at a bike that was just built, it was packed with used and Consignment Bikes. Didnt see alot of crates left.

there are a ton of low low mileage 06's around. Everybody thinks they need the new motor so you can probably get a deal on an 06. Check ebay or cycletrader
i picked up a 06fxdbi on ebay for 10500 with extremely low miles
