Quick question on the battery hookup. Took it out of the bike [FXDC] for the winter. Go to hook it back up and am not positive about the smaller wire connections to the post. Is there 2 connections on each post. Small black wire with main negative cable and black wire with red end going to positive post with the main red cable. Common sense tells me that but I just wanted to double check with you guys. Thanks.
Buy the factory service, parts and diagnostic manuals.
Black is negative. Red is positive.
Black is negative. Red is positive. Thanks for your input. I wouldn't have thought of that without you. Here's a thought, if you can't answer the question why do you post a response? And my manual doesn't refer to the wires I was talking about.

I did answer your question. Black is negative. Red is positive. If you are implying that you already knew that, then why ask? You are the one who took it apart but now you can't remember that the black wire was removed from the negative post and the red-marked wire came off the positive post. DUH!
One of the things that I do when doing work on my bikes. If it is one of the out of the normal things I take photos with my smart phone. So when I put things back together I can see what goes where. I also use a digital camera for larger projects that may take a while.
I believe in taking photos when working on bikes especially large projects. Most things do not require photos because I do it so much but fab work or major changes and electrical work I want photos.

Now there's a good response. Recognize it lo-rider? Probably not.
