I can tell you that FM cannot take a pc-v back unless it has a factory defect. Call keith at FM, he is now the pc-v go to guy, and have him explain the procedure to check your throttle position. Re-check what 128 suggested and make sure your using the O2 sensor eliminators and that there is no humidity in your pc-v to ECM connector plug. Sometimes water will get in there and just throws everything into a big short circuit. Finally go back to the first map they gave you. They are usually right on.
Been on phone with Keith 3 times....no O2's on an 05..I checked TP..and there is defiantly no moisture in connector. The 1st map is far from right on.
Then it can't be the bike's fault. I hate to take wild stabs at a problem I can't get my hands on, but it is sounding like the pc-v is not behaving.
If it has no O2 sensors would not the tuner of choice been a pc-III, just throwing that out there.
Thats what I'm leaning towards now but they sold me the pcv knowing what I have. I just got off the phone with Keith...he is sending me another map to try....will keep you posted.
Here's something you could try in an attempt to find out if the problem is hardware or software related...
Make and load a zero map for the PCV. If you do that the bike should run exactly as it does without the PCV connected at all. If it does run the same, then your problem is most likely to be from mapping rather than hardware. If it doesn't run the same, then the problem is most likely something with the PCV hardware and/or installation.
Three years with my Cobra autotune and hasn't skipped a beat.
Did it myself and rode the next morning.
Did intake and exhaust upgrades and it just tuned them in.
Best $400.00 spent on the bike.

Sorry to dmpjr for butting into his thread, but I love the idea af the Cobra but i keep reading about an equal no. of threads where people are completely satisfied & where people just can't get them to work,i don't know if its an installing or manufacturing QC issue, but it scares me off
sometimes fences are really wide & high.
So, Fuelmoto sent me a lean map..I compared it to my original map and yes it's pretty lean compared to the original. I was only able to go for a 2 mile ride but the backfire seems to have diminished..just heard a slight pop once so far..Bike is still not as smooth as I would expect though... I think they are just throwing maps at me....
