Well, I'm planning Woods TW-6 cams in the near future so maybe it will become useful then.

Called FM, explained issue, got map #2 and uploaded it. With map #2 the bike has a nasty hesitation but the decel pop diminished a bit. Called FM, get map #3, uploaded map, same issue as map #2. Called FM got map #4-no better. Also tried map #5-no better. Also I have lost 8-10 mpg. It seems funny to me that FM keeps sending maps that add more fuel. I am now ridding without the pc connected and the bike runs fine. WHat do you think?
The issue is you need to get it dyno-tuned. A map from bike A across the country isn't necessarily the best map for bike B.

Yeah, I think I realize that now. It's just that I'm planning future mods an was trying to hold out on a dyno tune until that happens. Just trying to get it to run half way decent for now, and it does w/o the pc. Also, I can't find a good dyno guy in my area.

Find a used auto-tune module for your PC5. But for the combined price of the PC5 w/auto-tune, you could just go buy a Thundermax w/autotune and be done with it.

You say most of your problems are gone with the zero map. Are all of the problems gone? Does it run the same as with the PCV disconnected? If so, that would indicate to me that the problem is with the mapping, not necessarily the PCV, as I said in my previous post.

So many people get on these threads and bash various tuners and then go on to recommend the tuner that they happen to have. Personally I believe any tuner will provide the desired results if it is programmed (mapped) appropriately. Sure, some tuners have different features than others and maybe more user friendly than others (although the user friendliness is subjective and can be different between different users).

One downside to many tuners is the reliance on canned maps, unless they have some autotune or data tracking capability. Canned maps can be hit or miss. With autotune and/or other data tracking capability, the user has real information to use for making changes. Without those capabilities any changes are nothing more than shots in the dark unless they are made on a dyno.

I run a PCIII on my '02 Duece with a canned map and I'm satisfied with it's performance. I don't have any capability to make changes on this bike other than seat of the pants feel. Tuners have come a long way since I purchased this PCIII several years ago.

On my '11 Limited I run a PCV w/ AutoTune. On this bike I can use the autotune data to assess and make adjustments. I am completely satisfied with the PCV w/ AutoTune set-up with only one exception. There is no data tracking capabilty for ignition timing so any timing changes are simply trial and error.

If I were buying a tuner today it would be a Power Vision due to it's data tracking capabilities.

I might start an argument here but, is the decel poppping really that big of a deal? I mean we all know its nearly impossible to get rid of it, and when you do its usually because your drowning the bike in fuel... Maybe I'm in the minority here but, I dont start shopping for new tuners when I get a pop outta the pipe coming down a hill...
On the other hand, I have the pcv fuel moto makes with a canned map for my fatcat and it runs great, little pop here and there and I'm getting about 40mpg. My tuner was like $200 bucks...

Update...I have to give kudos to Keith at FuelMoto, I was starting to lose hope but Keith kept doing what he could to try to resolve my problem. After trying multiple maps, I finally got one that my bike likes....She's a finicky girl I guess.... Also, I checked my mpg today after a fill up, and its back up to about where it should be. What do you think..cams next?? Or do I want to open another can of worms? Ah...you only live once...
