A few questions about these baffles? Running a 2010 Fat Bob with Screaming Eagle tuner and SE Heavy breather with V&H Big Radius 2-2.
How loud are they compared to the standard V&H baffle? I want a deeper, throatier sound but definately not blattier.
I read that the lower VH baffle can be a ***** to get out? If I don't like the sound can the VH baffles go back in?
I don't mind the $80 price tag but just want to return to where I am if I don't like it.
I tried a search but no luck.....
thanks!
The Big City Baffles are as loud or more so then the stock baffles . The tone is deeper and way better . You can take them out and put the stock in just as easy as the first time ? I thought The Big City Baffles were way over priced for what you really get . But they do sound better but very loud .
+1 on them being loud. All you have is a bit of straight-through pipe with a small lollipop in the middle. They are designed to allow max noise whilst maintaining some "back pressure".
You do get a free T-shirt with BCT baffles. Not sure what tells you about their costs.
i decided to go with BCT baffles. i also heard there is not much to them for the price you pay but everything i read from everyone that has them say only good things......so i guess they did put a price on happiness. lol. plus you get a free T-shirt.( well maybe not free with the $80 price tag)
also customer service is great so far. i emailed them today on sunday to make sure i order the right baffles cause i was having a hard time getting an accurate measurement and i already heard back. didnt expect to hear anything until monday.
going to order my set on monday or tuesday, depending on when i get a response from the second email i just sent, i can let you know what i think when i get them if you would like. i have V&H shorties on my bike. dont know what stock baffles sounded like in them though cause the guy i got them off of on craigslist didnt have baffles in them. i can only compare it to what they sound like baffleless.
Check out DK customs thunder torque inserts too, same basic idea and cheaper. I ran BCT's in my Martin Bros. pipes and loved them too, DK's just another option, I run one in my Bassani.
