Very good point, not to mention that people will drop $80 on a thin metal a/c cover, cam cover, or other small decorative item and not even blink an eye. I would say that EVERY item you could put on a Harley is grossly overpriced for what it is. At least the bct can alter performance...and sound which we all love.
i just ordered mine today. took the bike out for a good ride today after work to get a good feel of how it acts before i put the BCTs in when they get here. CANT WAIT!
A few questions about these baffles? Running a 2010 Fat Bob with Screaming Eagle tuner and SE Heavy breather with V&H Big Radius 2-2.
How loud are they compared to the standard V&H baffle? I want a deeper, throatier sound but definately not blattier.
I read that the lower VH baffle can be a ***** to get out? If I don't like the sound can the VH baffles go back in?
I don't mind the $80 price tag but just want to return to where I am if I don't like it.
I tried a search but no luck.....
thanks!
My opinion if u wanna know what the BCT baffles sound like in the short shots is this ........
1) take the the stock baffles out of your bike and go for a ride.
2) now while your out riding imagine that u still have you low end torque, cause u lose it as soon as u lose back pressure , and take away all th decel popping.
3) also all the rappiness of running baffless pipes is gone too.
I cannot tell u what they are like compared to the stock baffles cause I never had the stock ones. But I can tell u I am 100% happy. Also it does quiet down a hair compared to straight piping it but not much.
Also if u do order them, when u receive them and open them up and look at them. U will look at them and say "really"....lol....but they do work sweet!

Recently installed them on my '11 SB with V&H Big Radius 2-2....sounds better for sure. Not louder or quiter really, just deeper and better. Easy job to install and am sure the swap back if needed would be no problem at all.
