wiring harness ??

I figured it out! so as I was saying I'm installing new ape hangers so I got all new wiring and cables. as far as the wiring from the control housing once you disconnect the harness that runs inside the frame..from there you need to seperate the harness with a small flat head screw driver (the harness you plan on extending) on one side you have the white locking device remove it completely on the other side you have a rubber piece slide it back and the wires will be exposed, inside there are tiny clips that you need to push up on as you pull the wire out at the same time...just like everyone else said make sure you draw a diagram so you know where to put them back ...if you didnt do that you can always look on the female harness it conects to thats still inside the frame and match the colors up to that....09 fxdc
