Default Thoughts on removing baffles

Im not getting the sound I thought I would get on my 2012 Switchback...currently stocked with V&H Twin Slash Duals. Sounds great while switching thru gears but purrs like a kitten at idle. Thinkin' of removing the baffles for that deeper sound! Would welcome any thoughts...pro's/con's.

Remove them and if YOU do not like the sound put them back in.

Well, IMHO, the video from the V&H website, they sound pretty good to me at idle and at take off.

If you remove your baffles, you will loose performance. It is likely going to get too loud and the "tone" will go away. Try them out and maybe look at the DK Customs lollipop torgue inserts. Supplier is a forum sponsor

Yeah, loss of torque because of lack of backpressure. I pulled baffles on my screamin eagle slipons when I had my deuce. It was quite loud, but I noticed a difference in performance. I wish I had known about the monster city thunder baffles back then, or like the other poster mentioned about the dk inserts.

Thanks guys...maybe I was just used to the sound from the Sporty. Still trying to get used to the Dyna. I'll definitely check out the City Thunder Baffles.

BCT baffles would be the way to go.

My friend pulled the baffle on his sideshots. I know its not the same system you have, but IMO, anytime I have heard the baffles pulled from any exhaust, it sounds a little too tinny. Plus, it gets way to loud. And its not a good loud....
