Love my switchback. It's lighter than a RK and yes the bags are smaller , but if you want more storgae space get an ULTRA. Point is like every Harley Model they're not for everyone.
swapped exhaust for a V&H propipe and vibes went away. The bike is light and quick and very comfortable for me.
I have a clang or something, sounds like it's coming from the front end, when I hit a bump or a slight rise in the pavement.
Sounds like your neck is loose, I had the some thing happen after I swapped out my top tree, the neck bolt loosened up and I was getting a clank. Retorqued my neck bolt and check the fall out and everything is good.

What I did to fix this problem was I stuck a thin washer (maybe a 1/16th inch) between the strut and the detach roller at the rear mount point. When installing the detach siiy bar, I engage the forward mounts and have to spread the rear slightly to get them to engage. Seems to keep pressure on the parts, eleminating anything that was loose and free to vibrate, no more rattling.
I'm happy with mine. You'll need to put some pipes on it to cure any vibration issues people wine about. The bags are plenty big enough to fit most everything I've ever needed to cram in them (extra sweatshirts, helmets, rear pillon, jacket, gloves and a tool pouch. Dyna's ride is far superior to Softies so if your comparing the two bikes. Go with the Dyna. The bags rarely come off my bike but the windshield is only on when highway riding is a must so it makes for a nice and easy set up. Plus all the compliments I receive for having something a bit different are nice too.
