IPB advice needed - please

Replace it with a Baker when you see fit and spot weld the rotor while you're in there. If you are in the least bit mechanically inclined you can do all this yourself. If you want to go the dealer route be prepared to deal with the frustration that comes with it and still end up paying some money. FYI, mine made it to 25k miles before it began making noise. Even when it starts making noise it's not a catastrophic failure, I rode it for a week before I changed it out.

After more hours searching and reading, I don't know if mine is IPB noise or just regular "normal" noise - the noise is a whirring, not a rattle or squeal. The noise itself doesn't bother me as long as I know that everything is fine, or normal. It reminds me of normal noise of my '78 Ford 4WD truck with a Granny 4-sp when I let out the clutch in neutral - it's just a little louder then. Same with the bike, a noise in neutral, then I squeeze the clutch and the noise goes away. Don't know if it's IPB noise, Big Twin rattle, or just normal H-D and keep riding. And yeah, then there's the stator/rotor bolt issue.
Going to get a parts list together to minimize down time if I have to need to get in it: Baker Hi-Torque Bearing PN 189-56, what else??
