The 888 that wood suggested is very similar with a tad less lift. S&S 585, Andrews 67 and some others would be in the same ball park too. All would like around 10.5-10.7:1 compression.
The 106 is a big bore I got from revolution cycles, bored out cylinders with flat top Kb pistons, stock bottom end. I ride like an ******* most of the time. Wink was suggesting the s&s 585 but I wanted the compression releases also since the springs will accept a high lift. Therefore gave me more option later if I decided to change cams again in the future.

Alright, Alright. Ain't that the troof.

Op, if you look at all the specs the .590 and 888 are very similar, other than the 888 being .015" shy on lift. Not a mirror image, but I bet you wouldn't notice a difference. I'd be interested to know what makes the 888 "a better cam". I'm not siding with either cam manufacturer, and I'd expect each to suggest their own. So I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. My suggestion, anything but a 255

Lol now that is funny and I have noticed that alot. Personally I would go with the Woods cams but that's because I run a Tw 8-6 and I really like it.

We are using the SS585 cam.
But I used a SS 106 kit with mild head work.
I like it a lot good tq. Lots of HP.
The cam comes on strong around 3,000 rpm's to redine.
It's your choice.

I'm running that cam as well, but in a 97ci. Same power band you mentioned above. I really like it, just wish it came on harder around 2000rpm

With the 106 it has plenty of low end. It hit's 3 grand fast. You can feel it when the cam comes on. The head work was done for tq...
108hp with 121 tq...
We go to the drag strip from time to time and it has not been beat yet.
Somebody will at some point I am sure.
