Default Cracking Open A 2013 FXDWG

Well Thanks to Fuel Moto, New Castle HD, and Ebay I am going to be installing some TW-555 cam with Fuel Moto Pushrods and Torrington Cam Bearings. The bike as 990 miles on it right now so I am going to do the 1000 mile service at the same time at the cam swap.

Some parts started to come in today thanks to UPS and Fedex.

General Maintenance tools and SE Assembly Lube for the new cams.

Amsoil MCV 20w50 going in all three holes.

Cam Bearing tools from Heartland Products.

Torrington Cam Bearings from Fuel Moto.

Cam Install Kit from Fuel Moto.

Fuel Moto Pushrods with included pushrod tube tool and loctite.

And of course the Woods Knight Prowler TW-555 cams.

Rest of the stuff will be here Monday. Had to try and make 6th gear usable. I want to do the 30t pulley swap too but can't Find definitive answer on if the se pro super tuner software can calibrate the speedo and odometer if not I won't change the pulley. I also can't Fina a thread on what parts are needed for a 2012 or 13 dyna.

Get a TTS instead of the SERT and you'll be able to calibrate the speedo. Also the Tri Glide 30 tooth is less expensive than the Andrews.

You're going to love what those cams do to your bike.

I also used the Heartland tool to do a cam swap a couple of months ago and I found that the 'fingers' on the puller were a little too far apart to fit into the cam bearing, so I closed them up just a tad with a small hammer until the puller would fit into the bearing. You may or may not have to do the same tweak. Other than that, it's a great tool and makes pulling/pressing the cam bearings a fairly easy job.

Watch the excellent S&S video, use your MoCo service manual, take your time, and it will all turn out good.

Awesome, keep the pics rolling while you do the install and tell us anything that you learn. I will do the same with my 30T install in a week.

I wish I could help you on the speedo recal, but I have the PV. On the PV we have a screen like this:

So I will adjust the VSS until I am spot on.
