Default floor board for 2013 Fat Bob?

I've been searching for hours and I can't seem to find any solid answer? Is there a long floor board that uses the mid peg mounts for my 2013 Fat Bob?

I don't want just the forward peg replacement floor boards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are choices out there but, none that I'm aware of that use only a single mounting point that will render a "long Footboard".

What I did was bought the parts (as listed in the first year Switchback parts manual) to fit to my '06 Superglide. But, that uses both fwd and mid control mounts to get a conventional "long footboard".

Nowdays HD offers a kit for much less than I payed if you want to go that route. The only problem you may run into is on the right side (clearance on your exhaust). But, that may be worked out depending on if you have a stock or aftermarket system.

Well worth the effort if you can! IMO....

Hope this helps.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

So since I already have the forward controls, do you know if they just sell the FB with the mounting brackets? The only thing I could find is the complete kits, w/ relocating the controls.

Having the fwd controls is a big plus however, you'd still need to look at the prices.... When I did mine, I initially started out with the mounts and boards (I too had fwd controls on my Superglide).

A lot of the "fwd control" stuff is useable in the mod. The extras I needed were; The brake lever and Pad and the brake control rod (From the Switchback). Plus hardware. Don't buy the cheep stuff from Home Depot, Get the HD stuff!

Also, I have a Vance & Hines Big Shots (Staggered) exhaust. For fitment I had to cut away part of the heatshield for clearance on the R/H rear bracket. Not a big deal for me, I hung the bracket by the rear mounting bolt, covered the heat shield W/ tape, swung it up into place and traced an outline. Then cut away the heatshield with a Dremal and a rotory file.

Here's a list with some notes to do the foot board job using Switchback parts.

Here's another little tid-bit to get you going.

OK, here I go,

I't's taken about a month to get in all the parts but, I think the wait was well worth it. These are for the '12 FLD footboards and, the people I hang with say " They look like they've belonged there all the time."
Here 's a list of P.N.'s and prices as they applied to me, having an'06 Superglide W/Fwd controls and Vance & Hines Bigshot exhaust.

For the footboards:
54165-12 SUPPORT, right footboard $ 52.72
54172-12 SUPPORT ASSY, right footboard $ 68.75
54173-12 SUPPORT, left footboard $ 52.72
54174-12 SUPPORT ASSY, left footboard $ 68.75
50621-06 FOOTBOARD ASSY w/pads $ UNK (See note #3)
50614-06 PAD, footrest $ UNK (See note #3)
7354 LOCKNUT (4) $ UNK
50674-05 BOLT, shoulder $ UNK
4512A SCREW $ UNK

For the brake:
38157-12 BRAKELEVER ASSY $ 111.00
42416-06 PAD, brake pedal $ 4.25
4997 SCREW $ 4.00
38160-12 CAP, brakelever $ 10.95
38161-12 PUSH ROD $ 72.56
42665-03 PIVOT SHAFT $ UNK. (See note #1)

For the shifter:
33789-12 SHIFT LEVER $ UNK. (See note #2)
34887-06 SHIFT ROD $ UNK. (See note #2)
6702 WASHER $ UNK (See note #2)
7736 ACORN NUT $ UNK. (See note #2)

If you have mid-controls:
2882W BOLT $ UNK (See note #4)
7710W NUT $ UNK (See note #4)
34639-93 RETAINER $ UNK (See note #4) For ’96-’00 models
34639-01 RETAINER $ UNK (See note #4) For ’01 and later
34640-93 COVER, Shift shaft $ UNK (See note #4)
3231B SETSCREW $ UNK (See note #4

NOTES:
#1; If HD Fwd controls are already on the bike, the existing part is the same P.N
.If NOT HD Fwd controls, OR is HD mid controls, this part may be needed.

#2; These parts are needed if the bike has mid controls. If HD Fwd controls are already on the bike, these parts are not needed.

#3; These are Stock FLD (Chrome) footboards and come with the PAD, I Opted for P.N. 51322-08 FOOTBOARDS (Black) from the ’12 HD custom book (I’m not real big on chrome) and my parts guy gave me a set of stock “take off” standard PAD, footrest.`

#4; These are parts listed as an option to removing the outer and inner primary cases to remove the existing shift lever shaft and, cap the holes.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Some interesting info for you in this thread:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-50500247.html

Bottom line:

The FLD style floorboards will not fit your 2013 Fat Bob without doing some modifications.

The pre 2006 style FXDP style floorboards won't fit either.

I'm not sure but I doubt the post 2006 VTwin FXDP style boards will fit over the stock header pipes...

This is the kit I'm looking for! I know it won't bolt right up. I'll need to do some modifications.
But that is basically the kit I want.

Do they still sell that kit?
