hey guys, a week ago i took off my cam cover completely off and a bit of oil came out.. just want to double check.. the oil gets refilled when i change my oil ?

 

Normal for just enough to make a mess to come out of there. Button it back up and go!

 

ok thanks brother.. i still have to do the oil any way just wanted to double check cause i know there is no drain plug so it's connected to the oil for the bike.

 

Yea what QC said.
A Harley is dry sump, meaning the crank case does not hold much oil.
The cam chest covered by the cam cover is part of the engine case/sump.
The oil pump is housed in there on the twin cam, so any lost oil can be replaced by just checking the oil and adding to the oil tank.

 

About 6 ounces will come out. Like stated enough to make a mess.
