Got a little time to do some more comfort mods to the Wide Glide Today.
Got the Kury 3 inch forward control extension on the left side and also installed a HD silencer shifter peg. I am in the Army and we wear tan suede boots so I was tired of getting in trouble for black marks on my boot from my shifter so this was a must lol. Plus I think it looks pretty sweet.
Also got the Kury 3 inch extensions on the right side and installed my new K&N Aircharger intake to give me more knee room for the extended controls and it worked perfect no more knee banging.
Here is how the bike sits currently after only owning it a month.
I have a Screamin Eagle part number 29406-08 for sale with chrome football cover if anybody is interested. it only has 900 miles on it and was dealer installed when I bought the bike. I paid $150 for it without the chrome cover and I will let it go for $100 shipped with chrome cover.
Looks sweet. I have the extended forward controls also, I really like them. I like the paint job on your bike it's my favorite factory paint of the Wg.
My Tan boots still get the black mark where the shifter rubs on them. My shifter is the HD edge cut one which appears to be black chromed aluminum. I think the mark is made from the road film on the shifter peg when it rubs on the tan leather. I know there is a wrap that you can put around the peg to completely stop the marks.
