I was at the Ohio Bike Week event and there was an artist doing pinstriping. It was only $80. He did a good job. He wanted to do the top of the tank as well but I just wanted to break up the silver.
Here is my bike with the pinstriped tank and the new wheels, Corbin Seat, and Chrome lowers.
That's pretty cool, and a nice job for $80. I was out of town this year, but I think I'm going to try and plan a trip up there next year.
Thanks. There really wasn't much of anything going on the couple days I was there. I was kind of expecting more events in terms of bike shows and such. I was out on my own riding around the islands during the day but was kind of bored in the evening. I am not much of a drinker and there wasn't anything happening at all. The main strip closed at nine and everyone headed to the bars. It was a very low-key event when I was there. I might go again Saturday as they have some kind of block party event. It's only a ninety minute ride out there for me.
Thanks. I didn't want anything too flashy. I just wanted to break up the Silver on the tank a bit and he suggested this small design. He was getting quite a bit of business. A lot of the guys with baggers were getting their hard bags done with eagles or flames and stuff.
That actually looks pretty good. $80 is a great deal.
I was surprised it was so cheap. I figured it was going to be expensive. Prices started at $80 for a basic design like this on the tank. It goes up from there based on design or how much work he puts into it. It only took him about five minutes for both sides of the tank. With proper care it should last the life of the bike according to the care guide. I can't wash it for a week and no wax for two.
Hey Miniwolf, I like your highway bar. What brand/model is it?
It's standard Harley fare. Not sure of the model but it is the only one you can get for the Super Glide. I put fog lights on it for more visibility in the front.
