front exhaust valve npise
OK y'all I just built my engine (see sign for what I did) I have been having a loud loud clacking on the front of the rocker box on front jug.... today I pulled the covers and did and oil change and while in there shaved the spots it's looked as if I may have been touching the covers... I slapped it back together and it is still loud.... I am totally lost on what it might be any help is apreciated

I used the stock rods lifters ect ect I went with the 585 just because it was able to work with some stock parts. I die grinded the spots that looked like the rockers might have been touching. And it seems to only be on the front jug exhaust rear is silent

Does pinging cause valve noise? I'm wondering if maybe my spark advance is too high with the canned map I used as a base? But I would think a canned map would cause the rear jug to make the same noise. And it doesn't, it only makes it's under acceleration and idle.... No noise on deaccel

SOLVED! i had an exhaust that wasnt seated or my lower rocker box gasket is not seated right but i have a small exhaust leak coming from the front jug at the rockerbox/exhaust level noise has been found
