As you can see I went with leather throw overs by LeatherWorks out of Stockton Ca. They are ok. I am going to buy a RoadGlide with hard bags next so I can toss the leather. I want to keep my Dyna for sport riding and use the RoadGlide for long haul.

I have a pair similar to those. If you are going to use toss over the fender bags, use clear protective plastic that applies with water and just peels off on your fender. It will keep the bags from scratches in the paint.
I feel they are just OK as well, and am therefore seeking had mount, detachable bags. I also want to keep the detachable sissy bar...
Matous Leather has handmade bags designed specifically for the Dyna. You can see the throwovers in my signature, but we also have bags designed for bolt on using Easy Brackets or other similar bolt-on kits. You can buy them online here: http://www.matousleather.com/Harley-...s/b/6927005011
I was putting off getting bags because I didn't want to mess up the look of my Bob. I bought some Hardstreet bags a year and a half ago and just got around to painting them. They are mounted with easy brackets. I've had them on for a month and haven't taken them off once. They are too convenient. I even ride more because of them.
Leather Pros. I picked up a lightly used set on Ebay and installed them with the intent of just using them for overnight trips. They come off in seconds, but that is moot because they are so blasted useful I never take them off. I got used to the looks pretty quick and actually like them on the bike. They aren't cheap, but they are worth the price.
Boss Bags or LeatherPros. Both are the best quality bags on the market. I went with Boss Bags. Got them on the HD Forums classified section for $425 (look like new). New they are much higher, but the quality is worth the price. They are quick detach and leave very little behind when removed.
They lock on the bike and sit very close to the struts (one of the major points I was looking for when shopping for bags....I don't like the look of bags that leave a gap). Even with my detachable sissy bar not installed, they still sit closer than any other bags I looked at.
