So how much more are you going to blacken? Front end too?
I don't get why anyone would black out a bike and remove anything that would make it more visible at night, like reflectors. You might as well ride with your lights off. Maybe it's my common sense showing. And my age.
not gonna do the front end. if i can't do the ENTIRE front end, I'm going to leave that one straight line of fork and handlebars as chrome. I can do the lowers, and get black bars, but i dont like the look of that with the rest of the fork still chrome, so I'm going to leave it all chrome.
I might remove the reflectors and get some of that black reflector tape- looks basically invisible by day, but reflects light at night once something is shining on it. i think thats a good compromise. gets rid of the ugly red and orange reflectors while still maintaining some sense of safety. unfortunately I can't remember where to get that from.. can anyone provide a link? i'm still looking though..
Just ordered a roll of black reflective tape, and a roll of silver reflective tape. going to remove the stock reflectors and replace them with the tape- black on the rear fender [and my helmet] and silver on the front fork. I hate the look of stock reflectors, but this should be a good compromise. also bought a set of tire rim reflector tape in black also, going to line both sides of both rims with it. hopefully won't show up during the day, but should light me up like TRON at night!
