I Hope HYPERM3 does a quick review on the J-Cruise. It is on my short list. I am ready to give up the peanut helmet and looking to throw away my ear plugs. My FXDC 14 inch windshield keeps the wind off my torso but still buffets my forehead/glasses. The J-Cruise has a built in sunshade and supposedly offers unobstructed side vision. $450 on REVZILLA isn't cheap BUT: As a friend says, "Got a $5.00 head, buy a $5.00 helmet.."
As a friend says, "Got a $5.00 head, buy a $5.00 helmet.."
I have a $500 arai and a $80 gmax and I wear the gmax more than the arai. In fact I bought the gmax cause I wanted a tinted sheild for the arai but it was 80 bucks just for the sheild so I just bought the gmax instead that came with 2 sheilds. The liner is not as soft as the arai but I sweat more in the arai so I only wear that one when it's cold.
In my quest for the right helmet, I've tried a few. I thought I would run down the list of the modern helmets in my collection.

As a secondary helmet for longer rides, rain, or just windy days, I have an Outlaw Lucky 13. It's a 3/4 retro style helmet. The same helmet comes in a variety of paint schemes. I wanted a Bell 500, but they are just too round and put too much pressure on my forehead.
Pros:
Fits great on my slightly oval head.
Quick-connect latch on the strap is a great feature.
Quiet, as quiet as a 3/4 helmet can be anyway.
Cons:
A little thick and mushroom-headed, but not as bad as some other helmets I've tried. Not quite as thin as the Bell 500, but close.
It's a good all-around 3/4 helmet and is a keeper.

I wish I had seen this before I ordered my HJC open face. It is $39 compared to the $67 I paid and I like the look. Thanks for the reviews.
