06dyna inner primary bearing, does it always fail?

I was in the same situation. Bought my 06, went on the forum and heard a bunch of horror stories. I've talked to a ton of mechanics and they've all said that it "definitely maybe" will go out. They said they've seen some go out at 10k and others that have 50k plus that are fine. I did what they and most everyone on here recommends and weld or red loc tite the stator rotor bolts and throw in a Baker ipb. The peace if mind is worth the very small cost, especially if you do it yourself.

My bike has just under 9K and everything looks good. I'm installing a 30T pulley so while everything is apart I'll tach weld the 8 screws and install the Baker IPB.
