Fuel Tank Swap
Are the wide glide and lowrider tanks different? they are both wider than the stock dyan tank right? are they the smae tank with just a differnt dash? i am interested in swapping a wider tank on and moving the speedo to the dash... anyone know?

My '05 has the fuel cap and fuel gauge in the dash area and the WG and LR have the fuel cap on the right side of the tank and fuel gauge on the left side tank. But the new 35 anniversary superglide has the speedo on the dash but I am not sure if the tank is wider than what is on a FXD. I would think the WG and Low Rider use the same style tank but have a different dash.

my 98 too. i want to swap on a tank an put a lowrider dash on it...even a wide glide. what i am looking for is whether or not the wide glidde tank and the lowrider tank are the same (they both have the side fuel filler, but there could be differences. it looks like the wide glide has one tab on the tank to connect the dash and the lowrider has 2 tabs. i don't really care which dash i end up with. so i mostly wondering if, other than the dash mounting tabs, if the wide glide and lowider tanks are the same?
