Default 17x 4.5 Wheels???
Who besides Harley-Davidson makes this size in a wheel that is NOT a spoke wheel?

That is such an unusual size I bet it would be really hard to find , I did a lot of wheel shopping this winter and did not see that size offered from any company. If clearance between the swingarm and the belt is not an issue it might be easier just to step up to a 5 inch wide are larger.

5 inch should serve your purpose well.
4.5 is almost an OEM HD thing exclusive unless you where going to order a custom fabbed wheel.

Don't know why you would be looking for that size wheel. If you plan on replacing it, buy a size that is more user friendly.

I prefer to keep the stock size tire. But would go to a different tire size that was close to the stock size to get a better wheel size. Any recommendations?

Are you running the 180/60-17? Problem with the 17-4.5 wheel is that there are only 3 tires in that size rated to go on that wheel. There are lots of 180 series tires out there. But, all the others are rated for wheel widths larger than 4.5".

If you want to stay with the stock size tires, you pretty much have to stick with a harley wheel. This is a great wheel that bolts up to a dyna. Details below. Surdyke has it on sale now too.

I'm not entirely convinced. This site show that Wicked Image offers a wheel in 17-5". Ive seen other sites that seem to offer custom size wheels. Ya your probably gonna pay. But a 17-5 wheel will let you run tires in sizes above, below and at OE sizes. Plus you will no longer be restricted as to where you can find/purchase your new tires.

you were probably save yourself some money in the long run by going to the larger rim, the Harley Davidson Dunlap 180/60/17 cost $313.00 that is ridiculous. That is the highest price Harley Davidson tire available
