I did my stage 1 on a budget and the Cobra Fi2000 autotune is one great tuner.
The nice part is you can upgrade at will and the tuner will adjust.
I went with the samson 2 into 1 and it comes with shields. great price and preformance.
Don't go with a VO2 intake. Ran one for like 6 months and the damn thing about ran like the stock intake because if its design. Switched to the fuel moto air cleaner kit and not only did it FINALLY open up my 103, its cnc made so it looks hella purty!
I have Bassani R/R on my 2010 Wideglide...they sound good but I wish they made a quieter baffle for them...The finish on mine is not the best with the coating lifting of the front heat shield in a small spot up near the head and i still manage to scrape the front pipe even though I am not an aggressive rider...I don't think I would have them again but don't let what I have said put you off...
Hey dude, i'll through in another exhaust for you to check out. Hacker Custom Exhaust... smallish company out Cali. They make some great pipes. I'm running their track tuned and i love it to death. a buddy of mine has a 09 street bob with a Thunderheader. I've ridden his, and he's ridden mine and we both agree that my bike has more power than his, both are 96" with A/C and then the 2 different exhausts.
It sits up high enough that it wont scrap, and ends right before the rear axle so changing tires on the rear isn't as bad as with some pipes like the TH. Hacker has dyno numbers to compare, their's to the rest... Dynos aren't always 100%, but they offer a good starting point for info... It's also cheaper than most of the ones your looking at too!!!

Wow. Those guys call it like they see it don't they? Exhausts aren't bad looking. Not bad priced either. I don't remember seeing a warranty though...if they even have one. From the video I watched, they sound good too. And if their numbers are as good as they say they are, they definitely have a good thing going right now! Maybe I'll give them a call and talk to them and see what they have to say!

The FatCat's do sound good, I just don't want a pipe that long. If they made a shorter "muffler" I'd definitely consider one!
I need to find out if they Harley shop deals with only specific tuners or if they can work with ones across the board. Or find an indie shop with a good reputation that would tune it too! I'm already getting fidgety. Guy came by today and looked at the car. He's buying it later this week. So I definitely need to be figuring out what I want to go with!
Just a thought not sure what you budget is but have you checked out the new RSD Slant 2-1 pipe comes in a raw finish & the black ceramic looks the goods but it aint cheap!
