Hey Kevin I have the stock cleaner in with a K&N filter. Am I sucking in the dirty oily air as well? Or are you speaking of plain stock filters? As always thanks for your help. By the way onegearhead didn't mean to jack your thread.. sorry and good luck with your decision.

Yup. The stock setup is required for emission standards to burn off the crankcase gases by feeding them back into the air intake.

Does it really matter? Depends how fussy you are. Cool, dry, clean air is obviously better for the engine than hot, damp, dirty air. Whether it's enough to do any real harm to an engine designed to run that way is hard to tell - perhaps in the long, long term.

Wow, thread revival!
Glad to see you're deciding to go with the fat cat, you'll be impressed with the lean angle. (One of the best) Assuming you are running stock shock heights (12")
As far as a motor build goes, its really a matter of how much you want to spend, and what your overall plans are. If you want to keep the motor mostly stock for a while and just do the cams, look at the SE 204- 255, or TW-222, 555. Good output for a simple bolt in cam. I went with the 204's, based on my style of riding, and the badass lope it'll give you.
Good choice on DK filter as well. I have their transparent cover, and bobber cover. Both look sharp as hell.

Yeah, I know. I figured it would be best if I just revive my own thread instead of starting a new one.

I am running stock height shocks, but now knowing 12" is factory, I might snag a set of 12.5" or 13" just to raise the back up a bit so it doesn't sink so much when I sit on it.

I'll leave it stock for now, until I do a 107 kit or a 113 in a couple years hopefully. I'll have to check out those cams you listed. I've heard nothing but good about the Woods cams. i know they've been around a while. What is your "style" of riding? Compare it to mine hopefully. When it comes to cams, I like lope. Lope is good(I come from v8 cars). Haha. All of DK's filters I've looked at do look badass. There's so many covers and then all the diff breather bolts themselves...it's almost an endless array of options. Plus everybody on here seems to like them and praise their customer service, so I have 100% faith in them.
