When replacing the bucket, say to a 7" fatboy, Do you have to cut, splice the wires or is it just a plug and play?

Just curious. Why did you not like the "performance" baffles that came with the BigShots?

Its not that I didnt like them, I was just in my stage that I want my ride LOUD....

Now I am more going to the stage where I want the exhaust to have a nice deep rumble to it. Both the stock baffles and the Monster Baffles sound good, just a little tinny.

You can scavenge youre old connectors by opening it removing the wires from it, take it out of the headlight and use it on the new one

I guess the big question is how to mount the Fat Boy light. It looks to me as if there is a totally different mounting system on the Fat Boy since the upper fork has some cladding on it.
I also want to be able to recess the new headlight as much as possible in between the two fork tubes for a more "integrated" look.

I looked around on Amazon and found this one:
Drag Specialties Chrome Custom Springer-Style Headlight Assembly 6 3/4in Light With Visor and Grooves 20-0338-BXLB1 : Amazon.com : Automotive Drag Specialties Chrome Custom Springer-Style Headlight Assembly 6 3/4in Light With Visor and Grooves 20-0338-BXLB1 : Amazon.com : Automotive

Looks like is build well, some of the others look kind of cheap and cheesy.

I changed out my headlight to a Cobra II that cost $100. The stock headlight is a three wire and the aftermarket is a two wire I believe. It came without the connector so instead of cutting and splicing I just switched out the stock socket and wiring to the new housing. Difference in the wiring is one has the ground inside the bucket, the other one runs the ground through the wiring.

I also didn't like the stock LP mount so I cut it off and made my own side mount that doesn't stick out too far. None of it was too hard to do other than removing the original mount. I didn't want to strip the back of the bike down to apply heat to the area as the bolts just would not come off so I just cut her off with an abrasive cut off wheel.
