I ride it for fun, the power factor is what makes it fun.
when 2 up I have to feather the throttle so it stays on the ground. You know not hitting it hard in the first 2 gears and mild in 3rd, 4th on is all go.
I am working on getting the mid controls on. My wife always ride with me. That's the main problem unless at the strip.
On the mountains-I live on sand mountain- this bike is a blast to ride.
It is a sleeper and boy do I have fun waking up some of the guys wanting to play. they always get upset. My cousin want to play with me on his gl1800 goldwing. When I got to 3rd he backed off. All he said was why do you want something with this much power. I had him by 5 bike lengths by the time I hit 3rd and pulling away.
60 to 80 roll on in 5th is 2.4 seconds. It isn't fast just plain quick.
3rd gear roll on:

Crazy ****, I can't imagin trying to learn to do wheelies on dyna. Please don't think you can just go out and start doing this unless you have some very amazing natural talent. As mentioned start with smaller bikes to learn control at slower speeds & not get hurt as bad when you screw up. Do some searches for learning to do wheelies on dirt bikes & I would recommend wearing all the right gear (hard knee & elbo pads along with boots gloves helmet etc.

Gain respect for how fast you can eat it & get used to mastering throttle, clutch and rear brake also as mentioned.

I rode dirt for many years, and must say one of the biggest adrenaline rushes was taking my CRF450 out on a the highway and riding wheelies at 60.

I can see doing some small power on wheelies, but that's about it for me on this bike.
