I have 12 Inch air shocks on the way. I know I need the shrader valves and what not. But for installation am I going to need any spacers for the shocks? Or just bolt up and call it a day? I've read some bikes had rubbing issues (different models of Harley's). Just wanted to make sure I'm ready to go before I tear the bike apart. Thanks!
They're a much nicer ride under normal highway type riding, I don't really love them on really rough back roads and such but I don't have a grand to spend on aftermarket shocks either lol
Oh I know lol I'm up in ny, every time I travel south it feels like I'm driving through pa forever lol. They're definitely an improvement over the stock dyna shocks tho
The rubbing that I had was just the rubber boot on the top belt guard...you may have it and not even notice it.
I just used a thick washer to move the shock out a bit.
I have a bunch of air fittings and line because I was going to pull a pump out of one of those little compressors and try and rig it to my bike, but in the end, I just left my schrader valves on.
I think I will eventually run the lines to a single fitting, but then I figure with the shocks not hooked together, if something happened and you loose the air in one, at least you can limp home with air in the other...or just carry some fittings to fix airlines, etc.
