Default Parts list needed for primary work...

I want to do the following on my 2006 Wideglide and I need to buy everything I need to do the following.

Baker Bearing
Upgraded Primary Chain Tensioner
I am going to weld the compensator cup screws

Here is the parts list I am working on...

Twin Power Primary Rebuild Kit (gasket kit) # 160463061
Baker Bearing # 189-56
Primary Chain Tensioner 39929-06A or 39929-06B (I have seen references to both)
Primary cover gasket
Fluids

Do I need to replace any of the bolts? I have read where I should replace the 5 inner primary retaining bolts.

I would recommend a Hayden tensioner and stay away from the factory one.

You do have the HD Service Manual? It will tell you what parts to replace, like the compensator sprocket bolt for one.

Clymer manual will be good for starting the fire for a BarBQue

when compared to the HD manual............

don't forget to use new bolts part #3050.
T27 is the wrench size and they torque to 55-75 INCH pounds.

that will be found in your HD parts manual

doublecheck me on this

I replaced my 5 sealing bolts inside the primary. Had a few folks say they've reused theirs (some, more than once), but I decided I could afford the $15 since I was saving so much on the rotor/stator & belt. I also opted to open up both sides of the [sealed] Baker; others have left it sealed, or just opened the clutch side...your call.

Updated list....

Twin Power Primary Rebuild Kit (gasket kit) # 160463061
Baker Bearing # 189-56
Hayden Primary Chain Tensioner # M6 BT07
Primary cover gasket
Inner Primary Retaining bolts (5pcs)
Fluids
Weld screws on the rotor/cup assembly

I am now looking into replacing the sprocket compensator. I don't know a lot about my options other than some people told me to replace it with the SE model. Other people told me the SE model is junk and keep the stock one.
