Plate Side Mount-Legality Questions
.................................................. .....................
- just so we understand, I found humor in the fact that the "fork the man"
was tracked back to a fresh rider, nothing more.
Unfourtunatley, if the comment were actually true,
I'm surethe attitudetransends beyond riding.
Boogie
absurdity of the attitude stated by another poster.
Still digesting the others postings.
Wierd. Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde??
And yeah that attitude surely must be
beyond just a license plate lite.

Mudpuddle A large % of the patrol men here ride, (mostly H.D.) and they give ya respect if you act accordingly, most wave or nood. I've been stopped twice this winter but mostly to check out one of my older bikes, or How did ya do, kinda Questions, And allways without lights but a pull along side and asked to pull over with respect. But I do kinda just Putt not much of a danger. I show them my respect by keeping everything as close to legal as possible. Man I'm getting Old
Even when I get written down for a ticket,
I get the "nice machine" talk.
I have never received a citation that I did not deserve.
And I respect that.
Cops in my town ALWAYS wave at me.
Sometimes I get pulled over for a lecture.
I deserve those now and then as well.

I have had bikes my whole life, just not a harley.
.................................................. ......................
By the way, I am 35, a doctor, so yes I have some sence of responsibility, and three children.
I do however, think certain rules are made to be broken.
Just my opinion.
Above you state "have had bikes my whole life"
However, I quote you below from a few days ago -
"Hello, I have been silently watching this forum in hopes of getting a harley.
Well, Yesterday i bought one. It is my first Bike. 2006 Black Denim Street Bob.
I am going to apologize early,
I know nothing about motorcylces, but want to learn all I can.
So I am sure I will have some basic questions.
I rode my bob about 50 miles yesterday and almost turned in to a popsicle.
Jacket will be my first purchase."
And, secondly you state -
"I do however, think certain rules are made to be broken."
Would you please list the rules that are made to be broken.
I would certainly like to break them as you are..
Or, do we get to decide which ones we get to break.
That would be even better.
35, doctor, and a "sence" of responsibility -

And yes, I do believe some rules are lame, and yes, I do decide which ones I want to break. Do you ever drive over the posted speed limit? I would bet you do. You get to decide which rules you want to break on your own, it will be liberating for you if you have never broken any. The sign at my house says no dogs on the beach before 5 pm. Sometimes I get home early and have to go back to the hospital, so I bring my dog to the beach.
I have even parked my car in the street overnight even though the neighborhood rules said not to. Oh yes, and I had a beer before I was 21, what can i say.
Have fun breaking some rules!
